Come join our team at our office in wonderful Copenhagen! We're currently looking for:

Frontend Web Developer #

Working as a Frontend Web Developer at Opbeat is about scratching your own itch. We’re building the services that solve the pains we have and we dogfood everything. Opbeat was the first Opbeat customer.

You’ll primarily be working with the product and design teams on building new features and making Opbeat even better by constantly improving existing features. Based on wireframes and visual design from the product team, we aim to release product updates every single week, and we ship bug fixes and improvements on a daily basis.

Besides working on the user interface, you'll also have a lot of influence on product design, feature prioritization and so on. Because we're building tools for developers - and we dogfood so much, our developers often have the best insights into how the products should work and look.

You might be the right fit, if:
  • You enjoy building intuitive and great looking products
  • You enjoy moving fast
  • You’re a team player
  • You’re product orientated: Great code is only great if it solves real problems for the customer
  • You understand the problems our customers face and obsess with solving them in the simplest possible way
  • You’re conscious about tradeoffs between the ideal and the pragmatic solution

Technologies we currently use:
Our frontend stack is currently for the most part a traditional website that sends all the html across every request. We're in the process of replacing big parts of the app with React components. We'd love your help.

Our build system is Gulp and our static sites are hosted on AWS S3 and EC2 for the main web application.

A big part of this role will include modernize our old frontend and making it nice, clean and fresh.

We have a lot of custom graphs that are mostly raw D3. Beautiful visualizations is something we get excited about.

  • What you find interesting about Opbeat
