What is a transaction?

Transactions are a way of measuring the amount of data that you send to Opbeat. It also determines which of our pricing plans are available to you.

For frontend apps (AngularJS, React etc.)
A transaction is a route change in your frontend JS app running Opbeat.

For backend apps (Python, Node.js etc.):
A transaction is a request to your backend running Opbeat.

What happens if I exceed the transaction limit?

Opbeat will keep going. We'll reach out to you and you can choose to upgrade to a tier that fits your needs, or stay on the Free plan.

Is there a free plan for open source projects?

Yes! Please get in touch and tell us about your project.

Data retention

On the Free plan, we keep your performance metrics and errors for 24 hours. When upgrading to a paid plan you will get access to older errors. We will also let you know when an old error regresses, and display any historical comments to help you fix it.

Do you offer Opbeat on-premises?

No. Opbeat is SaaS, hosted on AWS. If you have any questions, please let us know.

What kind of payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. For enterprise accounts we also accept payments with purchase orders and bank payments.
